About Us
Supporting Our Community
Our Story
Originally conceived as a means of salvaging aging city infrastructure, Clark Park Community Garden has been a feature of the park since 2014, when members of the Clark and Marilyn Ann neighborhoods came together to build a garden in the shell of the closed community pool.
In 2019, the City of Tempe announced it was rebuilding the pool as part of its park renovation program, and created a space for our garden to move our operations while remaining in the park. Since then, we’ve been slowly developing our space into the community hub and garden that it is today. We would love for you to join us in growing our community!
Mission & Values
Organic Gardening & Connecting with our Community
Connecting with the community is integral to the success of Clark in the Park Community Garden. Through our garden, we bring together individuals from diverse backgrounds, working together to build a sense of community and collaboration. Here anyone can participate in our events, workshops, and volunteer opportunities, gaining hands-on experience in organic gardening while building relationships with their neighbors. This connection strengthens our community, as people work side by side to cultivate the garden and share in its bounty. By involving the community in our garden’s activities, we create a shared space that is both educational and enriching.
The combination of organic gardening and community engagement is what makes Clark Park Community Garden truly special.
By avoiding synthetic chemicals and embracing natural growing methods, we ensure that our produce is healthy, safe, and environmentally friendly.
Our garden serves as a living classroom where individuals can learn about sustainable practices and the benefits of organic produce.
